xPEL Apparel Membranes
xPEL is our industry leading microporous membrane constructed completely of nanofibers. The unique structure provides a soft supple material that is incredibly durable, stretch recoverable, and quiet. xPEL membranes don’t wait for pressure or humidity to build to begin working like ePTFE or monolithic membranes. The porous structure delivers immediate direct venting of 0.4 cfm while maintaining an incredible 14,000 mm hydrostatic head. In traditional MVTR tests xPEL delivers vapor transfer rates up to 2-5x other membrane technologies. The membrane is hydrophobic, oleophobic, and regenerable through simple washing. xPEL membranes are at home in active apparel for consumer or military use, and are also applied in medical applications for garments.
